Science explained clearly — by someone who works in it

I am a scientific curator and life science professional based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. With over five years of hands-on experience in biomedical literature indexing, EMBASE curation, and microbiology, I started SciCurator to share what I know — written in plain language for students, researchers, and curious minds everywhere.

My Story

I completed my Master's degree in Microbiology from Karpagam Academy of Higher Education, Coimbatore, where I developed a deep fascination with bacteria, disease mechanisms, and the science behind how living systems function. After graduating, I entered the field of scientific data curation — indexing biomedical literature for EMBASE, one of the world's largest scientific databases.

Every day, I read dozens of peer-reviewed research papers and translate them into structured, searchable data that researchers, pharmacologists, and clinicians around the world rely on. That process taught me something important: the gap between what science knows and what the public understands is vast — and unnecessarily so.

SciCurator began as a personal project to bridge that gap. I wanted to write the kind of articles I wished existed when I was a student — not textbook-dense, not dumbed down, but accurate, clear, and genuinely useful. Articles about microbiology, health, lab techniques, career paths, astrophysics, and everything in between.

Every article on SciCurator is written from a place of genuine expertise and curiosity. I do not copy-paste from Wikipedia or rewrite press releases. I read the original research and explain it in my own words — the same way I would explain it to a student sitting across from me in a lab.

The SciCurator Mission

Science for Everyone — Not Just Scientists

SciCurator exists to make evidence-based science accessible to every student, professional, and curious mind in India and beyond. Every article is written from primary sources, reviewed for accuracy, and published free of charge — because good science communication should not be behind a paywall.

India is home to one of the largest communities of life science students and professionals in the world — yet high-quality, India-specific science content written by someone with actual laboratory and curation experience is rare. SciCurator aims to fill that gap.

Whether you are a microbiology student preparing for exams, a researcher looking for a clear explanation of a clinical concept, or simply a curious person who wants to understand how the universe works — SciCurator is written for you.
